Pork City Slim
Eric Evans plays guitars and sings. He comes to Cincinnati from St Louis by way of Kansas City and Brooklyn, NY. He got Robert Lockwood Jr's autograph in St Louis, shook Willie Dixon's hand in Kansas City and saw Albert King play his pink flying V guitar in Brooklyn. He has recorded and performed all kinds of music from jazz with Get Off Downtown, to Western Swing with The Sidecars, to Jugband music with The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs. He was inducted into the Jugband hall of fame with the rest of the Pigs in 2014. He is a collector of old songs, old music, old instruments, a blues and jazz fanatic and likes good Kentucky bourbon.
Isaac Bluesman
Larry Bloomfield plays harmonicas and is a veteran of the Cincinnati Blues scene. He has been playing music since first hearing Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter and Paul Butterfield in high school. He has performed with internationally known boogie woogie pianists Big Joe Duskin and Pigmeat Jarret. He has opened for Johnny Winter, Leon Russell, Delbert McClinton and Keb Mo. He has performed in the International Blues Competition in Memphis several times and had the honor of being nicknamed "Hotlips" by the late Kitty Carson.
Washboard Louie
Yvan Verbesselt plays washboard, spoons, and all manner of different percussion instruments. He was born in Brussels, Belgium and speaks and teaches four languages. He began playing cajun and zydeco music while living in Louisiana in the 1970's. He has played with The Clement Brothers, Larry Miller, Donald Fontenot and Lesa Cormier. He has been playing in Cincinnati since the 1990's and has played with several groups and a wide variety of music including Cajun, Zydeco, Tex- Mex. New Orleans Trad Jazz, Eastern European, Celtic, Blues and Rock. He has been the percussionist with the famous Cincinnati band Lagniappe for thirty years.
